Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is known for their coal and brick oven pizzas. The one in Brooklyn has a reputation that leads people to queue up for hours. We went to the Hoboken location because waiting in line is dumb. Not surprisingly, the pizza was delicious. However, the salami they serve with mozzarella and roasted peppers was taste free. Perhaps it was low-fat salami, which, if it does exist, is an abomination.
The moral of the story: Stick with a joint’s specialty.
